About me
I'm based in San
Francisco
where I mostly write about food, California and life -- but mostly food. I contribute regularly to NPR
online, and have written for the
San Francisco
Chronicle's Home and Garden section, New York Times, Washington Post, chow.com and Backpacker magazine, among other publications.
Before moving to the Bay Area I lived in
Washington,
DC, where I worked for the Reuters Washington bureau, freelanced for local publications
and hosted countless dinner parties.
I write about my culinary forays on my food blog; when I'm
not hard at work perfecting copy for my day job, I'm usually
in the kitchen, out for a run, exploring my native state or have my
head in a book.
This website contains a selection of my journalism from
the last few years. Please contact me me for more
information about my work.
